Green and blue Sickfic

TW: Vomiting!

Blue’s POV:

Leaning over the toilet, I heave out vomit, it splattering all over the toilet sides.

I breathe heavily for a moment until I vomit more. God dammit, why is it only when I’m sick that the others are off the PC!?

“Bluee!” A voice suddenly rings through. Green’s voice. Oh thank god! “The others are still out, but I got tired and came back.”

I go to reply, but vile vomit comes out instead. I hack a fit of coughs, which green seems to hear as I hear a hum of confusion and footsteps becoming louder.

Green peeps through the doorway just in time to see me pour my life out into the toilet. In a panic, he rushes towards me, brushing the hair strands away from my mouth. He caresses my back with his hand in a circular motion as I continue to vomit.

Eventually, it comes to a stop. I breathe breathlessly, shakily reaching for toilet paper. Green grabs it and rips off some pieces, wiping my mouth for me.

He then reaches under my legs and places his arm around my back, lifting me up into the air. I rest my head against his chest as he carries me to my room, gently dropping me down on my bed.

He runs off out of my room, quickly coming back into with a plastic bag and a cloth soaked with water. He puts the bag down next to my bed and places the cloth on my forehead. It cools down my hot head. I let out a small sigh of relief.

“I’m going to get a pill and some soup for you, okay? Call out if you need me.” I nod my head and he leaves again.

After a while, he comes back in with soup, a pill and water. He hands the water and pill to me. I plop the pill into my mouth a gulp down the water. Green takes the glass and props it down on my bedside table before handing me the soup. I sit up, catching the cloth before it falls and putting it on the table. I take the soup and rest it on my lap.

“Do you want me to sit with you?” green asks, and I let out a small hum. He climbs onto the bed and climbs over me, sitting closely to my side. I rest my head on his shoulder as I begin to eat.

His hand caresses my scalp, and I feel myself become more tired as time passes on.

Once I finish the soup, I put the bowl on the bedside table. I lean down onto the bed, green following my movements. I cling onto his body and rest my head on his chest.

“You feeling better?”

“Mhm..”

I shut my eyes as green continues to caress my scalp, relishing in the nice, yet mildly uncomfortable, warmth.

Eventually, I fall into a sweet dream.

my mum rearranged some outside chairs in our backyard today and so far, i have been lounging on it all afternoon. i love the spot, the orange flower in the middle of a green grash, the bluee and green lounge chairs and me under the sun whilst staring off the distance with the perfect tree on sight. + bonus is that no neighbors constantly saying hello

Yellow is a glutton when it comes to sweets

Little guy's a nightmare to deal with on halloween...

small story below the cut:

White sighed, walking through the doors of their base, the clamoring of his younger siblings trailing behind him.

"I got the most candy!!"

"No, I did. My dazzling looks convinced everyone to give me the treats I deserve."

"Aren't you a little old to be trick or treating anyways?"

There they went, bickering again. He'd expected them to be too tired after walking across the city all night. White certainly was tired.

"Umm....Big Bro? I didn't get too much candy...can you spare me some?"

"I can just buy you some candy, Green. I really wanted to stay home and hand out candy, but..."

"Really? That's even better, Big Bro!"

White decided not to think about it further.

While Black and Red argued, probably pulling in Aqua during the whole ordeal, White turned his attention to Yellow.

"Hey, Bluee! How much candy did you get?"

"312 pieces. 14 full-sized candy bars, 100 lollipops, 36 apples...."

"Woow! Can I have some? Please? Please? Pleasee??"

White sighed. It wasn't halloween without Yellow making himself sick by eating double his body weight in candy. I swear, its like he never learns!

"Mmm..." Blue groaned. "No."

"Huh?! But why? You wanna eat it all? We can share it!"

White observed from a distance.

"You ever heard of the candy - granny?"

"The who-what now?"

"The candy-granny. Legend says that if you eat more than 2 pieces of candy on Halloween night, she'll come into your bedroom while you're sleeping and steal all your teeth."

Yellow looked... noticeably distressed at this point. Just where was Blue going with this...?

"No way?!" He listened with concern.

"Yes way, Yellow. Why don't you think I have teeth?"

Of course, none of them REALLY have teeth. That's everyone older than Red knows for sure. You don't really NEED teeth when you're a robot...

...Which was something Yellow SHOULD know, but didn't.

"Oh, goodness!!" Yellow found himself in a cold sweat at this point, stricken with terror over the entity known as the Candy-Granny.

"See, Yellow? I'm trying to protect you. So hand over the candy."

To White's surprise, Yellow shoves the pile of candy that he'd normally scarf down overnight over towards Blue. Noticably, he's pretty jittery and freaked out over the whole situation. Probably something White's gonna have to worry about when it's time for bed--

"Im going to bed right now!!" Yellow hightails it outta there. "I don't want the candy-granny to get me on Halloween night!! So I'm going to bed!!"

"Goodnight, then. Sleep tight. Don't let the Candy Granny bite."

Blue yawned. White just stood there, in surprise over the whole ordeal. That was two less problems that he'd have to deal with tonight- Yellow eating more candy than humanly possible and one of the siblings struggling to sleep.

Red and Black had already "tuckered themselves out" thanks to Aqua's mediation techniques. Green, being the little guy that he is, had already begun to drift asleep when they'd gotten home. Pink's accounted for...

Everything fell into place. For once.

White watched as Blue unwrapped a piece of Yellow's candy and ate it, his expression not changing in the slightest.

...Well, that explains it.

Thoughts on Blue Beetle? (Jaime Reyes)

Oooh! A nice ask! I'll be happy to share my thoughts on Jaime Reyes.

:Ahem!!!:

I think Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle is neat.

Now much of my understanding of the characters comes from a mixture of research, some reading of the 2012 Bluee Beetle and reading the Blue Beetle 2016 series where Khaji Da is considered mystic-tech in order to mesh better with the magic world of DC and I'm actually a fan of that rather than alien technology connected to the Reach because I don't think they sound convincing, cool, or are intimidating enough to be enemies of the Green Lantern. That's a whole entire different discussion though.

Regadless, I really find the character appealing. I think it was defeinitely a smart move to turn this legacy character into a character of color alongside retooling the very mantle itself. I feel the character is hampened because a) he faces a direction-related problem like Cyborg as in what the hell can be doing and b) the character is seen as "young" so his character will have a hard time growing up.

He follows the same problem many young DC characters (Cassandra Cain, Tim Drake, Khalid Nassour, Dick Grayson, Stephanie Brown, Raven, Beast Boy, Cassandra Sandsmark) have when the characters are perpetually stuck being young. From adolence (Tim, Jaime, Cassandra) to being grown young adults (Dick, Khalid), these characters don't age too obviously and they get drawn so varyingly young. To me, Jaime falls under the category where he's just stuck in high school and it isn't up until NOW writers have begin exploring otherwise.

But yeah, he's a cool character and I hope to see him in the big screen soon.
